Barista – Nyali Branch

About the role

Java House Africa Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join the Nyali branch. You will be part of a vibrant café team delivering high‑quality coffee and excellent service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, artisan and specialty drinks.
• Interact with customers at all touch points, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for drink preparation and hygiene.
• Monitor stock levels, advise the senior barista, and conduct daily stock‑takes.
• Maintain a clean, tidy counter and pastry case throughout the shift.
• Handle take‑away and eat‑in orders promptly and accurately.
• Control waste, manage cash float, and ensure sufficient change is available.
• Care for coffee machines and other counter equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive customer environment.

Required profile

• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Highly responsible, reliable and team‑oriented.
• Willingness to undergo in‑house barista training.
• Excellent customer care techniques.
