BCS Watchstander / DDC Technician – 24/7 Operations

About the role

Amentum is seeking a skilled BCS Watchstander / DDC Technician to provide continuous operation and maintenance of the Building Control System (BCS) for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The position requires 24/7 monitoring to ensure reliable commodity production and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Building Control System (BCS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) to manage HVAC, lighting, utilities, and production processes.
• Provide uninterrupted 24/7 watchstanding, responding to alarms, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct routine diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, repairs, and calibration of control equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs, performance data, incident reports, and support preventative maintenance scheduling.
• Assist with integration of new systems or upgrades and collaborate on energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and military regulations.
• Support emergency response and train other personnel on BCS/DDC operations.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Building Control Systems or Direct Digital Controls.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or government facilities with system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on control hardware and mechanical equipment.
