Bilingual School Psychologist – FY27 (12‑month, 1.0 FTE)

About the role

The Montgomery County Public Schools are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) School Psychologist for a 12‑month, full‑time position. Working under direction, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, families, and school staff, fostering academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to requests for psychological services and deliver direct and indirect interventions.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments, psychological assessments, and instructional supports.
• Participate on Collaborative Problem Solving, Educational Management, Section 504, and IEP teams.
• Provide counseling, consultation, and parent training; refer families to community resources.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and external agencies to create supportive learning environments.

Required profile

• Maryland State Department of Education certification for School Psychologist (NCSP preferred).
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Experience delivering evidence‑based interventions and assessments in a school setting.
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary problem‑solving teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data‑based decision making and accountability.
• Expertise in functional behavior assessment and behavioral data analysis.
• Understanding of biological, cultural, developmental, and social influences on learning.
• Proficiency in counseling techniques and instructional support strategies.
