Biology Expert – AI Training Contractor

About the role

We are looking for experienced biologists to design rigorous biology problems that will be used to train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models. The role involves creating realistic, exam‑quality tasks that challenge advanced language models while remaining solvable by humans.

Key responsibilities

• Design and curate upper‑undergraduate and graduate‑level biology problems with clear, fully worked solutions.
• Create challenging, realistic tasks that expose failure modes in frontier AI systems.
• Convert diagram‑heavy or multi‑part biology questions into self‑contained, text‑only problems with definitive answers.
• Write rigorous explanations and verify scientific accuracy throughout each problem and solution.
• Evaluate AI‑generated responses, diagnose errors, and refine questions to meet difficulty targets.
• Review biology tasks created by others and improve clarity, correctness, and realism.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain consistent standards across large task batches.

Required profile

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field (or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree).
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work 8 hours per day with a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
• Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave) for an initial 2‑month period with possible extension.
• Remote work from any of the listed eligible countries.

Required skills
