Branch Accounts & Operations Officer

About the role

The Branch Accounts & Operations Officer (BAOO) will support the AIM Branch Manager in managing finance, procurement, coordination and administrative functions for the AIM programme in Kisii and Kakamega. The role ensures accurate cash handling, timely reporting and smooth day‑to‑day operations at the branch level.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, record and reconcile daily cash collections, prepare cash requisitions and ensure timely banking.
• Maintain branch‑level accounting records, perform month‑end closing and produce MIS, internal and donor reports.
• Supervise branch administrative staff, coordinate office supplies and manage branch assets.
• Support programme implementation by assisting with mentor recruitment, club space agreements, service‑provider mapping and participant disbursements.
• Lead branch‑level procurement in line with guidelines and act as technical focal point for digital tools such as Binsight and the VSLA platform.

Required profile

• Experience in managing branch‑level finance, accounts and procurement functions.
• Ability to coordinate programme activities, supervise staff and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Binsight application for data collection and reporting.
• Experience using the VSLA platform for cash collection and tracking.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and cash reconciliation processes.
