Branch Manager – Banking Operations

About the role

Lead the Nairobi branch of Habib Bank, overseeing daily operations, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service while reporting to the Head of Distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage branch operations to ensure smooth service, strong controls, and great customer experience.
• Drive revenue, profitability, deposits, lending and transaction targets.
• Acquire new clients and expand market presence across retail, SME and corporate segments.
• Cross‑sell tailored banking solutions to deepen existing relationships.
• Monitor performance, close gaps and implement actions to improve results.
• Lead, coach and motivate the team to achieve targets with professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with Head Office policies and Central Bank of Kenya regulations.
• Manage branch cash, vault, records and assets with proper controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or related field from a reputable university (minimum CGPA 3.0).
• At least 5 years of experience in bank branch management.
• Solid knowledge of banking and financial products.
