Business Coach – CASHA Programme (Wajir)

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support young entrepreneurs and SMEs operating in the livestock and agricultural value chains in Wajir County. Working closely with the Boma Project team, you will deliver business development services, mentorship and data‑driven insights to foster inclusive growth in the ASAL region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one coaching and mentorship to micro‑enterprise startups and existing SMEs.
• Deliver business development services (BDS) that address market entry, product development and scaling.
• Collect, enter and analyse field data to generate actionable insights for clients and programme managers.
• Monitor market trends and advise clients on strategies for market penetration.
• Travel across the county on a motorcycle to reach remote clients and conduct field visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture or Livestock.
• 3‑5 years experience working with youth, SMEs and value‑chain actors, especially in livestock or agriculture.
• Proven track record delivering BDS and promoting social inclusion in ASAL regions.
• Valid A1/A2 motorcycle licence and ability to ride safely.
• Resident of the county where CASHA is implemented.
