Business Development Advisor – Garissa

About the role

The Business Development Advisor will work directly with entrepreneur clients in Inkomoko’s Garissa community, supporting micro‑ and small‑enterprise growth and contributing to thriving local economies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and enroll eligible entrepreneurs in the program and act as Inkomoko’s ambassador in the community.
• Communicate program details, gather feedback and report challenges to Inkomoko leadership.
• Organise and deliver training sessions in Somali, Kiswahili and English, handling logistics such as venue setup, material printing and attendance tracking.
• Support the senior trainer by reviewing training modules and suggesting improvements.
• Ensure training programmes are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Provide business‑development advice to micro‑ and small‑enterprise clients, helping them improve operations and access finance.

Required profile

• Experience working with micro‑entrepreneurs or community‑based programmes.
• Strong communication and outreach skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in Somali, Kiswahili and English.
• Commitment to supporting displaced persons and women entrepreneurs.
