Business Development Officer – Broker Channel (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Business Development Officer will support the Corporate Sales Manager in expanding Old Mutual's broker channel in Kenya. The role focuses on acquiring new brokers, managing existing relationships, and driving product revenue while ensuring compliance with internal controls and AML policies.

Key responsibilities

• Increase the number of brokers and achieve product revenue targets.
• Maintain profitability of products at appropriate cost levels.
• Establish and cultivate strong relationships with brokers.
• Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely, accurate business reporting.
• Monitor cash‑carry policy to guarantee premiums are paid upfront.
• Coordinate IPF business with the finance team and attend broker meetings.
• Resolve broker inquiries promptly and prepare BD activity reports.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new products.
