Business Development Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Officer to join Mwangi Kiai Advocates LLP, a full‑service law firm in Westlands, Nairobi. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, strengthening strategic partnerships, and promoting our legal services across diverse sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the legal market.
• Develop and manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare and submit tenders, proposals, and bids that align with firm capabilities.
• Lead marketing initiatives, including social‑media and professional branding activities.
• Network with industry stakeholders to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation.

Required profile

• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practising certificate, OR a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales, or client relationship management, preferably within professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to write compelling proposals, tenders, and bids.
• Strong understanding of the legal services market in Kenya.
