Business Trainer for MSMEs in Garissa

About the role

The Trainer will deliver Inkomoko’s entrepreneurship training to micro, small and medium enterprises in Garissa and surrounding areas. Working under the Senior Trainer, you will use both in‑person and digital methods to help clients improve their business skills and grow sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy a variety of training methods – in‑person and digital – and adapt them as needed.
• Identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to address training gaps.
• Implement the Inkomoko curriculum in assigned locations, ensuring alignment with the organization’s methodology.
• Recommend clients requiring additional support to the relevant Business Development Advisors.
• Participate in capacity‑building workshops covering business growth, accounting, finance, marketing, human‑centered design, innovation, and related topics.
• Assist Senior Trainers in developing and harmonising training content for MSMEs.
• Coordinate with Business Development Advisors and field officers to maximise client and partner participation.
• Draft training reports for assigned locations and update online reporting tools.
• Collaborate with location leaders to establish the training calendar.
• Manage trainings for all incoming clients in the designated area.
• Represent Inkomoko professionally in all interactions.
