Card Engineer

About the role

A tier-1 bank is looking for a Card Engineer to design and implement card payment technology solutions that support its strategic objectives. The role works closely with Enterprise Architects, agile project teams and vendor partners, and covers issuing, acquiring and payment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure and high-quality card payment solutions and collaborate with Enterprise Architects on product requirements and architecture.
• Identify and implement card payment solutions for issuing, acquiring and payment processing.
• Lead agile project teams to deliver solutions on time and provide end-to-end lifecycle support.
• Manage certifications (host, white plastic, digital wallets, terminals) and keep up with mandates from Visa, MasterCard, UPI and JCB.
• Work with Technology Risk and Security teams on security policies and standards.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing technologies and products.
• Work with vendors to integrate development within project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in banking operations.
• Minimum 5 years managing card systems; experience with Transware is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
