Casual Labourer - Motorcycle Logbook Audit

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management firm operating across East Africa, is hiring a casual labourer in Nairobi on behalf of its client. The role supports a time-bound physical audit of motorcycle logbooks, working closely with the Logbook & NTSA Compliance Officer to count, verify, scan and file about 5,000 logbooks within one month. It is a hands-on, detail-oriented position requiring strong computer literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Count and sort physical logbooks from the secure cabinet by registration series.
• Retrieve logbooks and match them against the Looker-based Excel checklist, then mark each record as Yes (found) or No (missing).
• Scan logbooks with the designated scanner, rename files by registration number and series, and batch upload them to SharePoint.
• Return scanned logbooks to the cabinet in the correct order and flag irregularities to the Compliance Officer.
• Maintain daily progress logs and report progress to the team.

Required profile

• Attention to detail: matching physical logbooks to digital records with no errors.
• Fast learner who grasps the workflow and filing conventions quickly.
• Clear communication and collaboration with the Compliance Officer and the second labourer.
• Willingness to work in a small, goal-oriented team.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency: navigating file systems and standard Windows/Mac applications.
• Excel data entry: locating rows, entering Yes/No entries, using filters and keeping data accurate.
• Scanning and digital filing: operating a document scanner and uploading organized batches to SharePoint.
