About the role
The Category & Innovations Manager will lead the rice and pulses product categories, shaping strategy, evaluating new opportunities, and driving product development and launches. This full‑time, on‑site role is based in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for rice, pulses and flour products.
- Evaluate new product opportunities and manage product portfolios.
- Coordinate product development, launches and monitor sales performance.
- Manage budgets and work closely with marketing and sales teams.
- Lead cross‑functional projects and ensure financial performance of the category.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 7–8 years progressive FMCG marketing, category or brand experience.
- Proven track record of managing category strategy, portfolio innovation and financial results.
- Experience leading brands, people and cross‑functional projects.
- Strong preference for experience in food manufacturing or staple food categories such as flour, rice, grains, snacks.
