Catering and Accommodation Trainer

About the role

The Rift Valley National Polytechnic is seeking a dedicated Catering and Accommodation Trainer to join its team in Nakuru. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training to students pursuing careers in hospitality, focusing on both catering services and accommodation management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct classroom and hands‑on training sessions covering food preparation, service standards, and accommodation operations.
• Assess student performance through practical evaluations and written examinations.
• Maintain training materials and ensure they reflect current industry practices.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate catering and accommodation modules into the broader curriculum.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related field such as Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Hotel Operations.
• At least one month of relevant industry experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of catering techniques and accommodation service standards.
