Catering and Accommodation Trainer

About the role

Pan African Christian University in Nairobi is looking for a Catering and Accommodation Trainer to deliver competence-based training in diploma (Level 6) and certificate (Level 5) programmes. The aim is to develop graduates who are well prepared for the job market.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct trainees in the specific courses and units in line with the curriculum and occupational standards.
• Plan, run and assess practical sessions for the assigned course units.
• Prepare internal assessments, mark and grade them, and carry out validation and moderation.
• Supervise and assess trainees in the course area and during their industrial attachment.
• Maintain the records required by TVETA and TVET CDACC, such as learning records, session plans, training notes and records of work.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Coordinator or Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Catering and Accommodation Management or a Higher National Diploma in the same field, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a similar position.
• Relevant training experience.
• Licensed by TVETA.
• Exposure to TVET CDACC.
