Chief Operating Officer

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will provide operational leadership across Finagra’s farms and regions, translating company priorities into actionable plans and ensuring high standards of safety, ethics and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate seasonal priorities into executable plans across teams, regions and farms.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and cross‑functional dependencies.
• Build scalable processes to support growth across REPs, farms and regions.
• Lead Agronomy, AgOps and the REP Program, coordinating with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, Product and Technology.
• Establish management routines, KPIs, reporting and escalation processes.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, safety standards, and operational controls.
• Develop local managers and foster a culture of ownership and professional management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of operational leadership experience (COO, General Manager, Head of Operations or similar).
• Proven ability to manage complex, distributed or multi‑site operations.
• Strong understanding of commercial farming, agronomy, mechanisation and irrigation.
• Experience building management systems, processes and operational discipline.
• Excellent people leadership, performance management and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Kenya and work across operating regions and farms.

• Experience with digital systems such as ERP.
• Experience with farm management systems.
