Child Protection System Consultant (Nationals Only)

About the role
The UNICEF Child Protection System Consultant will work from the Nairobi office to provide technical support to the Kenyan Government. The focus is on strengthening national child protection systems, especially parenting programmes, violence‑against‑children initiatives (including online), and sector‑wide coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of parenting programmes.
- Facilitate coordination across the child protection sector.
- Document and disseminate good practices.
- Manage partnership and donor relations.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Political Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting government design and implementation of child protection programmes.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in child protection.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Swahili.
