Chinese Translator / Business Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Chinese Translator and Business Coordinator to bridge communication between our Chinese partners and local stakeholders in Nairobi. The role combines translation duties with coordination of logistics and project support within a fast‑moving shipping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents, emails and verbal communications between Mandarin and English.
• Facilitate smooth interaction between Chinese teams and local staff, government agencies and community groups.
• Assist in project development, negotiations, contract preparation and payment follow‑ups.
• Coordinate transport and logistics operations, ensuring timely movement of goods.
• Monitor sales team performance, attendance and task execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Business, Logistics, Project Management or a related field.
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and English.
• Proven experience as a Chinese translator or interpreter.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
