Commercial Development Manager

About the role

The Commercial Development Manager will lead the design team in pricing and developing technical solutions for strategic logistics projects. You will act as the primary liaison with key clients during the design phase and ensure seamless handover to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project design teams to create cost‑effective technical proposals for large‑scale cargo movements.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including quotations, tenders, contracts, and rate approvals.
• Collaborate with the CEO and COO on new commercial initiatives, SOPs, and facility openings.
• Oversee rate development using a rapid‑response rates engine and ensure timely updates.
• Monitor post‑award performance, address operational issues, and feed lessons learned into future projects.
• Produce weekly progress reports and maintain accurate data in the sales management system.
• Ensure pre‑qualification and vendor‑list requirements are met for business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the logistics or transportation industry, preferably in a commercial or business‑development capacity.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi‑disciplinary teams.
