Commercial Strategy Lead – High Value Crops

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a strategic project management professional with over five years of experience to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that translate a five‑year strategy into scalable, commercially viable solutions with strong farmer impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic projects supporting high‑value crop (HVC) and potato strategies, translating priorities into structured execution plans with clear ownership.
• Drive planning, forecasting and performance analysis across priority HVC value chains, generating actionable business insights from farmer, market, supply and pricing data.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including Agronomy, Global Supply Chain, Government Relations and Operations—to align on variety testing, regulatory approvals, seed multiplication and commercial implementation.
• Track strategic KPIs, assess initiative performance, and make evidence‑based recommendations to scale, pause, adapt or discontinue projects.
• Prepare analysis, recommendations and presentation materials for leadership, S&OP and SteerCo discussions, and communicate progress, risks and decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical capability combined with sound business judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen to assess viability, develop business cases and understand financial implications.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Proficient with Google Suite.
