Communications and Marketing Associate

About the role

The Communications and Marketing Associate will support the promotion and branding of school events, manage public‑facing marketing initiatives and ensure data protection compliance across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure data protection measures are in place and adhered to at all events.
• Lead public‑facing marketing initiatives in consultation with the Line Manager.
• Plan and market three open days per year and two career days per school.
• Collaborate with AKS Mombasa and Aga Khan Academy Mombasa to promote and support events such as sports and swimming galas.
• Capture photography and videography of key events and maintain a repository.
• Update the school’s website section with relevant content.
• Ensure all public‑facing communications (letters, certificates, trophies) are branded and approved.
• Assist Central Office with media event coordination, invitations and updates.
• Create guidelines for programmes such as Mental Health and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication or Digital Media.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
• Experience in a school setting is an advantage.
• Adobe Suite certification or proven practical experience.
