About the role
The Community Oral Health Officer will deliver preventive, promotive and basic curative oral health services in community and rural settings, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide basic dental procedures such as examinations, extractions, prophylaxis and fluoride applications.
- Conduct oral health education, disease prevention activities and community mobilization.
- Maintain accurate records using Health Management Information Systems.
- Participate in school dental health programs and mobile clinic outreach.
Required profile
- Diploma or Degree in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
- Valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Minimum two years post‑internship experience.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with Health Management Information Systems.
- Clinical skills for dental examinations, extractions, prophylaxis and fluoride application.
