Construction Licensing & Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Licensing & Compliance Coordinator ensures that all of our client’s roofing and exterior brands maintain the required licenses and certificates of insurance to operate legally across multiple states. Working remotely on a US Eastern schedule, you will act as the central point of contact for all licensing matters, reporting directly to the VP of Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and track license applications and renewals for the corporate entity and each brand at state and local levels.
• Monitor renewal dependencies such as insurance certificates, workers‑compensation proof, bonds, continuing‑education requirements, entity good standing, and fees.
• Submit and verify Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to licensing offices, ensuring correct named insured, coverage limits, policy dates, and required wording.
• Support brand teams on the COI platform, answering questions and assisting with document retrieval or requests.
• Maintain organized, up‑to‑date records of all licensing and insurance documentation.
• Provide written answers to internal licensing queries, citing source regulations.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines consistently.
• Highly independent with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Familiarity with licensing and insurance requirements for construction or contracting businesses.
• Effective written communication for responding to internal inquiries.
