Consultancy for Test Pumping and Borehole Assessments in West Pokot

About the role

The European Committee for Agricultural Training (CEFA) seeks qualified consultants to conduct test pumping and assess boreholes and shallow wells in West Pokot County, Kenya. This work supports the AICS‑funded GROW project’s WASH component, aiming to improve water access for vulnerable groups, especially women and girls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform test pumping operations on existing boreholes and shallow wells.
• Assess technical performance, yield, and sustainability of water sources.
• Collect and analyse hydrogeological data and produce detailed assessment reports.
• Provide gender‑responsive recommendations to enhance water access for women and girls.
• Coordinate with local stakeholders and CEFA project teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hydrogeology, water supply, and test pumping.
• Familiarity with gender‑responsive WASH interventions in Kenya or similar contexts.
• Ability to work onsite in West Pokot County and engage with local communities.
