Country Director – Kenya

About the role

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is seeking an experienced Country Director to lead its education programmes in Kenya. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will shape and execute the Foundation’s strategy, ensuring that its products and initiatives reach the educators and young people who need them most.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to expand the reach and impact of the Foundation’s products in Kenya.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with government bodies, partners, and senior education stakeholders.
• Lead engagement with policy makers to influence the education environment.
• Ensure all programmes have robust monitoring, evaluation, and data‑driven improvement plans.
• Collaborate across the Foundation to adapt educational products for Kenyan users and share learnings.
• Recruit, lead, and support a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Champion accessibility, inclusion, and safeguarding in all initiatives, prioritising underserved communities.
• Oversee the Kenya budget, reporting progress to funders in partnership with the Chief Growth Officer.
• Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation externally and contribute to overall organisational strategy.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading education programmes or NGOs in Kenya.
• Established network across the Kenyan education sector.
• Strong leadership and team‑management experience.
• Ability to work flexibly, travel regularly within Kenya and to the UK.
• Eligibility to work in Kenya.
