Credit Control Manager

About the role

The Credit Control Manager will lead credit management activities for Cropnuts, an agricultural laboratory services provider, based in Limuru, Kenya. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees credit assessment, limits, accounts receivable monitoring and debt collection to safeguard cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
• Monitor accounts receivable, track payment performance and minimise overdue balances.
• Lead debt‑collection efforts, negotiate settlements and resolve payment disputes.
• Analyse financial data, prepare credit control reports and present findings to senior management.
• Liaise with internal teams and customers to address billing and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records, support audits and drive continuous improvement of credit procedures.

Required profile

• Strong credit control and credit‑management experience with a proven track record of enforcing credit policies.
• Solid understanding of finance, accounts receivable, cash‑flow and basic accounting principles.
• Advanced analytical ability to assess credit risk and interpret financial data.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Prior experience in the agricultural sector is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems.
• Advanced use of spreadsheet and reporting tools (e.g., Excel).
