Cross-Border Knowledge Management Internship (Horn of Africa)

About the role

The Cross‑Border Knowledge Management Intern will support the Governance and Peacebuilding portfolio of the UNDP Resilience Hub for Africa, based in Nairobi. The internship focuses on analytical work, programme design and knowledge development related to governance, conflict prevention and social cohesion in the Horn of Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in policy analysis and research on governance and peacebuilding issues.
• Prepare briefs, reports and knowledge products for internal and external audiences.
• Support the design and documentation of programmes addressing conflict prevention and social cohesion.
• Maintain and update the hub’s knowledge management database and repositories.
• Contribute to stakeholder mapping and coordination activities.

Required profile

• Current graduate or recent graduate in political science, international relations, development studies, or a related field.
• Strong interest in governance, peacebuilding and knowledge management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Kenyan national (as the posting is for national applicants only).
