About the role
Omya is seeking a Customer Service & Logistics Specialist to manage the full order lifecycle, act as the primary contact for customers, and coordinate shipments across international borders. The role blends customer service with supply‑chain execution in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Enter and process customer orders through the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, handling inquiries on orders, deliveries, pricing, product information, samples and documentation.
- Support quotation preparation and collaborate with sales teams on offers.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents and warehouse providers to guarantee on‑time shipments and proper trade documentation.
- Prepare and manage import/export paperwork such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists and certificates.
- Monitor order status, flag delays, and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Handle customer complaints and claims together with sales and quality teams.
- Oversee warehouse dispatch, inventory follow‑up and transportation arrangements as needed.
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and ensure post‑goods issue and billing are completed.
- Assist accounts receivable with order‑related follow‑up and evaluate logistics service provider performance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain or order management, preferably in industrial manufacturing, chemicals or distribution.
- Experience with international trade operations, import/export documentation and shipment coordination.
- Fluency in English and the local language; additional languages are a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or QuickBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
