Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain strategy, planning and execution for Surgipharm Limited. This senior position oversees demand and supply planning, international imports, local procurement, logistics and regulatory compliance to ensure product availability in a cost‑effective and timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead demand planning in partnership with Commercial and Operations teams, integrating sales forecasts, market insights and client inputs.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts and translate them into aligned supply and procurement plans.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve planning assumptions.
• Oversee supply planning to optimise stock levels, minimise expiry, obsolescence and excess inventory across all warehouses and distribution points.
• Manage inventory targets, balancing service levels, working capital optimisation and cost efficiency.
• Partner with freight forwarding companies, handling supplier selection, contracting and performance management for air and sea shipments.
• Supervise local procurement of healthcare products from approved partners, ensuring regulatory compliance and consistent product availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Pharmacy or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CIPS, APICS/CPIM or CSCP are an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years progressive experience in supply chain, logistics or procurement within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, FMCG or import‑intensive industries.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or head‑of‑function role.
• Proven experience managing healthcare imports, freight forwarding, customs clearance and regulatory permits.
• Eligibility to work in the country of employment.
