About the role
The Customer Service Representative provides front‑line support to patients and families, handling high‑volume appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general inquiries. The position operates in a fast‑paced healthcare environment and may be performed on a hybrid schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments following established protocols.
- Obtain, verify, and accurately enter patient information into the scheduling system.
- Conduct insurance verification and resolve related questions.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service to patients and callers.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Route calls to the correct internal teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent typing ability and friendly telephone etiquette.
- Self‑directed, motivated, and able to multitask in a dynamic setting.
- Preferred: at least 6 months clerical experience, call‑center or physician‑practice background, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: bilingual in Spanish.
