Data Engineer

About the role

The Data Engineer will provide technical leadership in designing, delivering and continuously evolving the enterprise data architecture, platforms and AI engineering capabilities. This role enables the organisation to derive value from data through scalable, secure and governed foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data platforms, pipelines and AI engineering solutions.
• Ensure data solutions align with architecture standards, governance, security and strategic objectives.
• Promote data reliability, interoperability and operational excellence across the organisation.
• Support advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI use cases.

Required profile

• First degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Commerce or related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience building databases, data warehouses, reporting and integration solutions.
• Proven experience optimizing big‑data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to perform root‑cause analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
