Data QA Analyst

About the role

The Jitu is hiring a Data Quality Analyst (Data QA) for an on-site role in Nyeri, Kenya. The position validates data accuracy, tests APIs and ensures the quality of data-related systems and processes in a technology and Agile environment. It is a full-time, entry-level position.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional, regression, integration and data validation testing.
• Validate and analyse large datasets to ensure data accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Test APIs and verify the data exchanged between systems.
• Create, execute and document test cases, test plans and test results.
• Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and meet quality standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and backlog refinement.
• Support UAT and help validate business requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies and quality practices.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries.
• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
• Experience writing Python scripts for test automation, validation or data analysis.
• Exposure to test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience with data warehouse, ETL or data pipeline testing.
• Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
