Dentist – General Dentistry & Implant Specialist

About the role

Valley Hospital is seeking a dedicated Dentist to join its oral health team in Nakuru. You will provide comprehensive dental care, from routine check‑ups to complex implant procedures, while working with modern equipment in a supportive hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a full range of oral health conditions, including emergencies and routine care.
• Create and manage treatment plans for complex cases such as dental implants and surgical referrals.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, prevention, and long‑term oral health.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for every patient interaction.
• Supervise and mentor dental auxiliary staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Operate and sterilise dental equipment safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to the development of hospital‑wide dental policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification.
• Valid registration with the relevant Medical Practitioners & Dentists Council.
• Private practising license.
• 2–3+ years post‑internship experience in general dentistry.
• Clinical exposure to orofacial pain and oral medicine.
• Advanced training such as ACLS/ATLS (preferred).

Required skills

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
