Detailer – Door & Hardware Scheduling Specialist

About the role

The Detailer at CBX Solutions creates accurate, code‑compliant door and hardware schedules, ensuring that every project aligns with contract documents, specifications, and client expectations. You will work closely with sales, estimating, and project management teams to deliver high‑quality submittals and shop drawings on time.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, purchase orders, plans, and specifications for accuracy.
• Detail and schedule openings, materials, and hardware to meet contract and code requirements.
• Verify product costs, enter them into the scheduling process, and compare with estimates.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, schedules, and supporting documentation using Comsense and company software.
• Create detailed elevations and sections as needed.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies or compliance concerns with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Update and resubmit submittals, coordinating ordering with Project or Location Managers.
• Collaborate across Sales, Estimating, and Project Management for smooth phase transitions.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in door, frame, hardware, or similar construction detailing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, UL, NFPA, and related industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Comsense software.
