Director, Digital Health & Informatics

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a strategic leader to head its Global Digital Health practice. Reporting to the CTO, you will shape AI‑enabled digital health systems that empower community health workers across several African countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and strategic direction for digital health platforms in Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Ethiopia.
• Steer the AI agenda and ensure responsible data and technology policies are in place.
• Collaborate with ministries of health, donor agencies, and norm‑setting bodies to scale national CHW programs.
• Guide a small in‑house engineering team and coordinate with LMH’s global engineering and country digital health teams.
• Support fundraising, business development, and the creation of a global evidence base for digital health interventions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in digital health, health informatics, or related fields.
• Strong credibility with government engineering teams and ability to influence partners.
• Experience working with ministries of health and large‑scale community health worker programs.
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills.
