Director of Development & Engagement

About the role

The Director of Development & Engagement will lead strategic relationship‑building and philanthropy initiatives for St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School and Church. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this role focuses on expanding a culture of giving and supporting long‑term philanthropic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute constituency engagement strategies to cultivate donors and volunteers.
• Manage donor stewardship, prospect research, and pipeline development for the STEP Forward Capital Campaign.
• Coordinate tailored communications and stewardship initiatives that deepen constituent connections.
• Oversee volunteer engagement and support multiple advancement projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, qualify, and prepare prospects for major gifts.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of fundraising, advancement, donor relations, alumni relations, or nonprofit development experience.
• Proven success in relationship‑based fundraising and donor cultivation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
