Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a Director of Sales & Marketing for a full-time position in the hospitality industry, based at Thika Road. The role covers the hotel's sales and commercial strategy, corporate and key account sales, conferences, events and MICE, marketing and brand development, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel's sales and marketing strategy to achieve revenue, occupancy and market-share targets, and drive corporate, MICE, conference, events, group and leisure business.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, institutions, NGOs, travel companies and event planners, lead negotiations and run account plans, calls, visits and presentations.
• Lead business development for conferences, meetings, seminars, weddings and banquets, build a pipeline and work with Operations and Banqueting teams.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales and marketing team, set KPIs, hold performance reviews and sales meetings, and foster collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Reservations and Operations.
• Oversee marketing campaigns, digital marketing, social media, promotions and packages, and monitor their commercial return.
• Work with senior management on revenue forecasts and action plans, monitor revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and conversion rates, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
• Represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows and build partnerships with corporates, travel agents, tour operators and event companies.

Required profile

• Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing, including significant management experience.
• Proven track record in driving hotel revenue and acquiring new business.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales and marketing teams.
• Experience in a conference-heavy, full-service or large hotel operation is highly preferred; established industry networks are an added advantage.
