About the role
The African Population and Health Research Centre seeks a senior researcher to lead investigations at the intersection of education and digital technology, including AI and machine learning applications in learning environments.
Required profile
- PhD in education and technology, educational data science, machine learning in education, curriculum and instruction with a technology focus, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a research institution conducting high‑quality research on education, digital technology, and/or AI.
- Track record of leading or managing research programmes or projects.
- Strong quantitative and/or qualitative research expertise; mixed‑methods experience is a plus.
- Excellent scientific writing demonstrated by peer‑reviewed publications and successful grant proposals.
- Fluency in English; French proficiency is an advantage.
Required skills
- Data analysis software: STATA, SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, ATLAS.ti.
