Electrical Engineering Manager (Wind Energy)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the design and execution of wind farm projects in Hyderabad. You will be the technical bridge between the engineering team, consultants, and project stakeholders, ensuring that all solutions meet stringent regulatory and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and manage project designs, guaranteeing compliance with technical specifications and grid regulations.
• Coordinate engineering consultants, approve their designs and documentation, and provide technical guidance.
• Review equipment test reports and represent the engineering team in project meetings and presentations.
• Conduct load‑flow, short‑circuit and power‑system studies for wind farms and ensure adherence to Grid Codes, IEC, IEEE, CEA and utility regulations.
• Support cost estimation, financial modelling and feasibility analysis for new wind energy projects.
• Drive technical excellence, innovation and continuous process improvement across the engineering function.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in wind‑farm electrical design, substations and EHV transmission lines (up to 400 kV).
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/EHV electrical systems and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Passion for renewable energy and a proactive, detail‑oriented work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD and AutoCAD.
• Load‑flow analysis, short‑circuit studies and power‑system studies.
• In‑depth understanding of IEC, IEEE, CEA and utility standards.
• Experience with cost estimation and feasibility analysis for wind projects.
