Electrician – Energy Solutions

About the role

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an energetic Electrician to join its construction and service teams. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment for fueling and charging stations across retail, commercial, industrial and government projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment used in the petroleum industry.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems using ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, cable testers, ohm meters and megger.
• Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, pumps, dispensers, POS consoles, tank monitors and lighting.
• Inspect electrical systems for compliance with safety codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Advise management and coworkers on hazards and safe operation of electrical systems.
• Assist estimators with material take‑off, cost calculations and labor allowances.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of journeyman electrician experience.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and codes.
• Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75‑100 lb and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and work under time constraints.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Use of hand and power tools, including conduit benders.
• Operation of ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, cable testers, ohm meters and megger.
• Conduit installation and wire pulling.
• Electrical system inspection and code compliance.
