Equipment Operator (Tier 4)

About the role

Fluor is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator (Tier 4) to join its construction team at Manda Bay. The role involves operating a wide range of construction and transport equipment while supporting project construction, operations, and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks, including dump trucks, loaders, rollers, compactors, tractors, sprayers, sweepers, plows, forklifts, backhoes and related machinery.
• Perform material control functions, barrier equipment maintenance, and basic data entry into USG AIS.
• Inspect equipment condition, report major issues and conduct minor or emergency repairs.
• Train less‑skilled workers on equipment operation and care.
• Provide movement data to Integrated Data Environment and comply with military and DoD regulations.
• Perform manual labor and other duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of related equipment‑operation experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
• Certification and authorization to operate assigned equipment.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.

Required skills

• Operation of single‑axle and dual‑axle dump trucks.
• Loader, roller, compactor, tractor, sprayer, sweeper, plow, forklift and backhoe operation.
• Rough terrain cargo handler (RTCH) operation.
• Aviation ground support equipment operation.
• Basic computer data‑entry skills.
• Equipment maintenance and minor repair capability.
