Event Service Expert

About the role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is looking for an Event Service Expert to deliver memorable experiences for guests attending banquets and events in Nairobi. The role involves overseeing the entire event lifecycle, from setup through breakdown, while ensuring safety and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, arrange, and break down event materials, equipment, and décor according to specifications.
• Transport supplies, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of items to event spaces.
• Take guest orders, interact with attendees, and provide personalized service throughout the event.
• Maintain a safe workplace by following Marriott policies, quality standards, and uniform guidelines.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects up to 50 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in event management, food & beverage, sales & marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a 5‑star hotel or luxury service environment.
• Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lb and remain on feet for extended periods.
