About the role
Lead the pastry and bakery operation at The Social House, focusing on creating a distinctive French‑inspired pâtisserie experience that draws guests to The Living Room for exceptional pastries.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the entire pastry and bakery operation, setting high standards for quality, taste, texture, presentation and consistency.
- Develop a French‑inspired pâtisserie offering, including croissants, viennoiserie, artisan breads, cakes, tarts, entremets, petits gâteaux, chocolate products and plated desserts.
- Create signature pastries and seasonal collections that become associated with The Social House.
- Build production systems, manage ingredient usage, wastage and food cost discipline, and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Collaborate with Procurement, the Executive Chef, commercial and marketing teams to ensure product quality, safety and guest appeal.
- Lead, coach, train and develop the pastry team, transferring technical knowledge and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
