Farm Manager – Sindo, Homa Bay

About the role

A client, an agribusiness building a sustainable, technology-enabled agricultural value chain in Africa, is recruiting an experienced Farm Manager to lead its field operations in Sindo, Homa Bay. The role is hands-on and full-time on site, covering operational excellence, production targets, farm expansion and leading field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all farm operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards and operational KPIs are met.
• Manage farm expansion, including land development, infrastructure projects, labour planning and operational readiness, on time and within budget.
• Supervise and develop field teams, set performance targets, monitor productivity and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Improve efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, implementing SOPs, analysing performance data and introducing process improvements.
• Manage operational budgets, procurement, inventory, equipment maintenance and logistics.
• Build positive relationships with local communities, land partners and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present accurate operational reports with insights, recommendations and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, Farm Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years managing large-scale farm operations, plantations, agri-processing facilities or similar.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary field teams and improving productivity.
• Willingness to be based full-time in Sindo, Homa Bay.
