Field Sales Representative – Automotive Industry

About the role

This position is perfect for a motivated individual who loves the automotive sector, has strong communication abilities, and can work independently while consistently hitting sales targets. You will be responsible for promoting and selling motor vehicle spare parts across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the designated area.
• Market and sell vehicle spare parts to both individual and corporate customers.
• Conduct regular field visits to prospects and existing clients.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Present product features, specifications, and pricing, prepare quotations, and negotiate sales while adhering to company pricing policies.
• Follow up on leads, convert prospects into customers, and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Perform market research, monitor competitor activity, and track industry trends.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
• Coordinate spare‑part deliveries and ensure smooth customer hand‑over.
• Represent the company at promotional events, exhibitions, and customer activations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field (Automotive Engineering is a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in automotive sales, preferably spare‑parts sales.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Good understanding of the Kenyan automotive market.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
