Finance & Operations Manager – Boutique Hotel & Airbnb

About the role

Skippers is a boutique coliving and hospitality concept in Diani, operating 7 rooms with plans to expand to 12. We are seeking a hands‑on Finance & Operations Manager who will bridge strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution, ensuring both financial integrity and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain exacting standards for property maintenance, housekeeping, and overall quality control.
• Handle bookkeeping, revenue tracking, booking accuracy, and produce streamlined financial reports.
• Oversee the full guest journey, from smooth check‑ins to rapid resolution of complex issues.
• Drive commercial growth by monitoring occupancy trends, encouraging guest reviews, and identifying revenue‑generating opportunities.
• Provide concise, data‑driven updates to the team and flag potential bottlenecks early.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of finance experience; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance or a related field from a top‑tier university.
• Strong academic record (First Class or Upper Second Class honours).
• KASNEB associate or graduate qualification.
• Proactive, ownership‑mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools, APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Technical aptitude for bookkeeping and financial analysis.
