Finance Trainee (Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

The Finance Trainee will support the finance team with accounting tasks such as payables, receivables, documentation and invoicing. This fixed‑term position offers a comprehensive introduction to the finance department and pathways for professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Apply sound accounting principles for accurate financial reporting and record‑keeping.
• Perform cash and bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and maintain daily foreign‑currency exchange rates.
• Verify and process intercompany invoices and complete monthly intercompany reconciliations with zero variances.
• Assist the Finance Manager and Accounting Manager with internal and external audits, preparing balance‑sheet schedules and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Commerce or Business (B.Com/M.Com).
• Good knowledge of finance and administrative processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information professionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• 0‑2 years of accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
