Front of House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Front of House Manager to lead daily front‑office operations at our client’s hospitality venue in Mombasa, Kenya. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional, culturally grounded guest experience while supporting both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests, handling check‑in/out and enquiries.
• Coordinate reservations, bookings and special requests using the property’s reservation system.
• Oversee the smooth running of front‑of‑house areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain service standards and support event or experience coordination.
• Contribute ideas to improve service quality and drive revenue enhancement.
• Represent the client’s values of cultural sensitivity, community empowerment and inclusive service in all guest interactions.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience in hospitality, front office or customer service, preferably in hotels, resorts or tourism.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Revenue management experience.
• Flexibility to work on‑site in Mombasa, including weekends, holidays and shift‑based schedules.
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity and community‑focused service.
• Basic proficiency with office or reservation software; additional language skills are a plus.
• Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism, business or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
