Full Stack AI Engineer (Python & React.js)

About the role

NewPage Solutions is looking for a senior Full Stack AI Engineer to design, build, and ship production‑grade AI systems. You will own the backend, integration layers, and the underlying infrastructure, turning prototypes into reliable services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an AI engine with retrieval‑augmented generation, context‑aware reasoning, evidence citation, and evaluation harnesses.
• Architect and deliver production‑grade agentic applications and vendor‑agnostic LLM abstractions.
• Integrate frontier and self‑hosted LLMs using MCP and custom connectors.
• Design prompt‑engineering frameworks to optimise accuracy, latency and cost.
• Build modular back‑ends in Python (async) and support TypeScript/Node.js when required.
• Prototype front‑ends with Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Create scalable REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger, webhook patterns and clean integration boundaries.
• Work across relational, document, key‑value and graph stores, and implement enterprise integration (SSO, RBAC, ingestion pipelines).
• Ensure audit trails, data classification, RBAC and change‑history compliance.

Required profile

• 8‑11 years of professional experience, including 7+ years in backend and AI engineering.
• Hands‑on LLM integration and agent development experience.
• Strong Python expertise (OOP, SOLID, 12‑factor, micro‑services).
• Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js for occasional tasks.
• Experience with vector databases, retrieval pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
• Proven ability to build enterprise‑scale REST APIs, OAuth/SSO, and webhook integrations.
• Cloud‑native AWS deployment experience using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of LLM behaviour, cost optimisation and performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field.
